DIN EN 413-2
Masonry cement - Part 2: Test methods; German version EN 413-2:2016
Putz- und Mauerbinder - Teil 2: Prüfverfahren; Deutsche Fassung EN 413-2:2016
Overview
This European Standard describes reference and alternative test methods to be used when testing masonry cements to assess their conformity to EN 413-1. It gives the tests on fresh mortar for consistence, water retention and air content. In the event of a dispute, only the reference methods are used. This standard differs from DIN EN 413-2:2005-08 as follows: a) normative references have been updated; b) the specifications for the properties of gauzes used in the water retention test have been revised; c) the repeatability and reproducibility limits for setting time (Method B), water retention and air content have been revised (these revisions are based on a round-robin test programme instituted following the introduction of a new class of masonry cement MC 22,5 in EN 413-1). Working committee NA 005-06-23 AA "Putz- und Mauerbinder, SpA zu CEN/TC 51/WG 10" ("Masonry cement (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 51/WG 10)" at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau) is responsible for the German collaboration.
