Haematology - Determination of the concentration of blood corpuscles in blood - Part 3: Reference method for the determination of the concentration of erythrozytes; Text in German and English

Title (German)

Hämatologie - Bestimmung der Blutkörperchenkonzentration im Blut - Teil 3: Referenzverfahren zur Bestimmung der Konzentration der Erythrozyten; Text Deutsch und Englisch

Overview

This standard applies to the determination of the concentration of erythrocytes in human blood by a reference method. It is applicable to the analytical phase only. When applying the reference procedure specified in this standard the technical and metrological requirements ensure that reference values for the concentration of erythrocytes in blood are determined with an inaccuracy as small as possible. This standard also applies to corpuscle counting in stabilised control bloods containing fixed human blood corpuscles or particles of non-biological origin, such as beads labelled with surface antigens, if the metrological behaviour of the corpuscles to be measured corresponds to that of erythrocytes as defined in 3.3. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 063-03-06 AA "Hämatologie" ("Hematology") at DIN Standards Committee Medicine (NAMed).
