DIN 1873-1
Powered lawn mowers - Performance characteristics, requirements and testings - Part 1: Pedestrian controlled rotary mowers - Combustion engine, electrically or battery powered

Title (German)

Rasenmäher mit Motor - Gebrauchseigenschaften, Anforderungen und Prüfungen - Teil 1: Handgeführte Sichelmäher - benzinmotorisch, elektrisch netz- oder batteriebetrieben

Overview

DIN 1873-1 replaces DIN 1873 from 2004. What is new is the transfer of the standard into a series of standards. Part 1 concerns pedestrian controlled rotary mowers that do not have a device for the user to ride on and are intended for domestic use or similar purposes. Part 2 is intended to apply to robotic mowers. Compared to the predecessor standard, the contents have been completely revised and adapted to the current state of the art and the applicable product standards for lawnmowers. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 020-00-11-03 UA "Rasenmäher - Gebrauchstauglichkeit" ("Lawnmower performance criteria") at DIN.
