Overview

The standard applies to seamless and welded steel pipes and their joints used as external freezing pipes in shaft sinking at temperatures down to -45 °C.
The standard differs from DIN 4930:1989-06 as follows:
a) revision and updating of normative references; b) standard text editorially revised; c) revision and additions to the requirements for delivery conditions for pipes and pipe connections; d) addition of units of measurement; e) revision and addition of outlines.
This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-51-10 AA "Schachtbau" ("Shaft sinking") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
