Overview

This part deals with flow measuring devices. It contains an operating list of properties for all types of flow transmitters which can be used, for example, as a request for various types of quotations. The equipment feature lists specified in this standard for different types of flow transducers can be used in very different ways: in the computer systems of equipment manufacturers and suppliers, in CAE and similar systems of general contractors and other engineering companies, and especially in the various plant maintenance systems used by plant operators. The operating and device lists of properties given are in accordance with the guidelines specified in IEC 61987-10 and IEC 61987-11. The responsible committee is DKE/K 931 "Systemaspekte" ("System aspects") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
