Overview

This European Standard specifies requirements for the ecodesign of small power transformers complying with the EN 61558 series. Reference is made to the Ecodesign Directive and its mandate. It sets out how the rating plate is defined and how the losses (no-load and short-circuit) are to be calculated. The responsible committee is DKE/K 323 "Transformatoren, Drosseln, Netzgeräte und entsprechende Kombinationen" ("Transformers, reactors, power supply units and combinations thereof") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
