Overview
This VG 95933-2 defines elastomer inserts for block clamps according to VG 95933-1, which are used for the pipes to be held. The elastomer inserts usually hold the pipes elastically and also soundproof. Sound-insulated supports for metal pipes with outside diameters from 4 mm to about 50 mm are required in the entire area of the Bundeswehr (German armed forces). The material values of the angled elastomer are specified weather resistant in the material performance sheet WL 5.5709 (CR chlorobutyl rubber). The CR rubber has good ozone, aging and chemical resistance. An essential requirement is very good resistance to refrigerants. Temperature ranges from -40 °C to +80 °C combined with adequate mechanical properties are given. This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT), Working Committee NA 132-02-08 AA "Fluidschläuche" ("Tubes for fluids").
