Overview
This European Standard specifies the methods for the sampling and migration of elastomer or rubber teats for babies and for the isolation, identification and quantitative determination of N-nitrosamines and N-nitrosatable substances released from elastomer or rubber teats in contact with artificial saliva solution. As a test standard, it is primarily aimed at testing institutes and deals in particular with aspects of product safety. This European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 252 "Child use and care articles", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible national mirror committee is Working Committee NA 095-05-03 AA "Artikel für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder - Sitzen, Pflegen, Schützen, Liegen und Transportieren" ("Child use and care articles - Sitting, caring, protecting, laying and transporting") at DIN Standards Committee Safety Design Principles (NASG).
