Wind turbines - Part 25-2: Communications for monitoring and control of wind power plants - Information models (IEC 61400-25-2:2015); English version EN 61400-25-2:2015

Title (German)

Windenergieanlagen - Teil 25-2: Kommunikation für die Überwachung und Steuerung von Windenergieanlagen - Informationsmodelle (IEC 61400-25-2:2015); Englische Fassung EN 61400-25-2:2015

Overview

The IEC 61400-25 series of standards specifies communications for wind turbine monitoring and control. The modelling method of the IEC 61400-25 series of standards has been chosen to provide abstract definitions of classes and services so that the designs are independent of specific protocol stack stores, implementations and operating systems. This part is used to specify the abstract definitions of a logical device class, logical node classes, data classes, and abstract general data classes. These abstract definitions have to be mapped into concrete object definitions that are appropriate for a particular protocol. In IEC 61400-25-2 Ed. 2, adaptations to IEC 61850, IEC 61850-7-3 and IEC 61850-7-4 as well as minor changes compared to Ed. 1 have been made. The responsible committee is DKE/K 383 "Windenergieanlagen" ("Wind turbines") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
