DIN 28082-1
Skirts for apparatus - Part 1: With simple bottom ring
Standzargen für Apparate - Teil 1: Mit einfachem Fußring
Overview
This document has been prepared at DIN Standards Committee Chemical Apparatus Engineering (FNCA). This standard applies to skirts with simple bottom ring that are welded to upright apparatus with convex bottoms (for example: according to DIN 28011 or DIN 28013). It now restricts the large number of design specifications for skirts and associated design work. The specifications in this standard have been derived from various proven design examples. This should facilitate understanding between designers and manufacturers. The most important changes to DIN 28082-1:1994-07 relate to the deletions in Table 1 "Dimensions" and inclusion of the new clauses "Connection lug for grounding and equipotential bonding" and "Welding". The designation has been changed. The verification of load-bearing capacity is not part of this standard. Committee NA 012-00-01 AA "Anlagenteile" ("Process equipment") of the Standards Committee Chemical Apparatus (FNCA) at DIN is responsible for this standard. Skirts for greater additional stresses, for example skirts for apparatus in bottom ring design with twin ring and webs or with anchor bracket, are specified in DIN 28082-2.
