Overview
This standard specifies a method for determining the compressive strength of masonry units. The standard is primarily directed at manufacturers of masonry units, verification bodies and research institutions. The standard has been updated with respect to the product standards of the EN 771 series which have been revised in a parallel procedure. Information on surface preparation and conditioning has been compiled in a clear manner in a new annex. On the German side, the experts of NA 005-06-04 AA "Prüfverfahren (Sp CEN/TC 125/WG 4)" ("Test methods (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 125/WG 4)") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau) supervised the work.
