Overview
This part of IEC 61837 specifies the outline drawings and terminal lead connections for surface piezoelectric devices with hybrid enclosure outlines and is based on IEC 61240:2012 which standardized layout rules of outline drawings of surface-mounted device. If there are variants of an enclosure with different heights, then each enclosure is indicated with a slash (/) and a two-digit number after the basic model designation. The execution number is indicated in the dimension table in the data sheet. The dimensions given in this standard apply to surface mount piezoelectric components. Only dimensions that meet the requirements of IEC 61240 are given. Drawings of the same size should be indicated to the same scale. The scale should be selected in accordance with IEC 61240:2012. In this part of IEC 61837, it is recommended that a scale of 2:1 be used for enclosures with a nominal length greater than 20 mm. The dimensions should only be specified where the letter×appears in the table of the respective data sheet. If there are several identical enclosures with different heights (G), the typical value of G is to be indicated in the table. In case of values deviating from G, the letter symbol shall be provided with an additional subscript number. The reference designations are given in the table in the data sheet. This standard differs from the previous edition as follows: - Outline drawing is defined as one set of drawings consisting of four views, which are the view from above, the front view, the view from the right, and the view from below, instead of one set consisting of three views as provided in the previous edition. - The configurations of the enclosures were revised as shown in Table 1. The responsible committee is DKE/K 642 "Piezoelektrische Bauteile zur Frequenzstabilisierung" ("Piezoelectric devices for frequency control and selection ") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
