DIN EN 19694-3
Stationary source emissions - Determination of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in energy-intensive industries - Part 3: Cement industry; German version EN 19694-3:2016
Emissionen aus stationären Quellen - Bestimmung von Treibhausgasen (THG) aus energieintensiven Industrien - Teil 3: Zementindustrie; Deutsche Fassung EN 19694-3:2016
Overview
The standard "Stationary source emissions - Determination of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in energy-intensive industries - Part 3: Cement industry" deals with cement production, which contains three main process steps: a) preparing of raw materials and fuels; b) producing clinker, an intermediate, through pyro-processing of raw materials; c) grinding and blending clinker with other products ("mineral components") to make cement. This standard is to be used in conjunction with the standard "Stationary source emissions - Determination of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in energy-intensive industries - Part 1: General aspects", which deals with general aspects and is a general, overarching standard. It contains general requirements, definitions and rules for the determination of GHG emissions for all energy-intensive sectors, which also applies to the aforementioned standard, regulates common methodological issues and specifies the details for applying the rules for the harmonized methods.
