DIN 1185-2
Drainage - Control of sub-surface water management by draining with pipes and amelioration of the subsoil - Part 2: Planning and dimensioning
Dränung - Regelung des Bodenwasser-Haushaltes durch Rohrdränung und Unterbodenmelioration - Teil 2: Planung und Bemessung
Overview
This standard applies to the planning and dimensioning of drainage systems for the control of sub-surface water management of agriculturally used areas with the exception of areas covered with woody plants. The main design values of the methods described in DIN 1185-1 are compiled here. Special cases are only included in DIN 1185-1. The DIN working committee "Irrigation and Drainage" has set itself the goal of modernizing and streamlining the standard, incorporating the latest findings, dispensing with the details that are now established in other standards (for example, pedological data), and replacing the textbook-like form of the standard as far as possible with a practical design. This document deals with the site conditions that occur as a rule. The summary of the most important data in tables takes into account the desire for clarity and ease of use. This part is intended to be a clear aid, especially for the already experienced practitioner.
