Condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines - Vibration condition monitoring - Part 3: Guidelines for vibration diagnosis (ISO 13373-3:2015)
Zustandsüberwachung und -diagnostik von Maschinen - Schwingungs-Zustandsüberwachung - Teil 3: Anleitungen zur Schwingungsdiagnose (ISO 13373-3:2015)
Overview
This standard DIN ISO 13373 contains guidelines for the general procedures when carrying out vibration diagnostics on machines with rotating parts (rotating machines). It provides engineers and technicians with a practical structured approach to machine fault diagnosis. In addition it gives examples of and solutions for faults common to a wide range of machines; these are installation faults, faults on fluid-film bearings and rolling element bearings. This standard does not define vibration limits; these are specified in DIN ISO 7919 (for rotating shafts) and DIN ISO 10816 (for non-rotating parts). This International Standard ISO 13373-3:2015 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 108 "Mechanical vibration, shock and condition monitoring", Subcommittee SC 2 "Measurement and evaluation of mechanical vibration and shock as applied to machines, vehicles and structures" the secretariat of which is held by DIN. The responsible German body involved in its preparation was Committee NA 001-03-06-05 UA (NALS/VDI C 6.5) "Schwingungs- und Zustandsüberwachung von Maschinen und Anlagen" ("Vibration and condition monitoring of machine") of DIN/VDI Standards Committee Acoustics, Noise Control and Vibration Engineering.
