DIN 25201-2
Design guide for railway vehicles and their components - Bolted joints - Part 2: Design - Mechanical applications

Title (German)

Konstruktionsrichtlinie für Schienenfahrzeuge und deren Komponenten - Schraubenverbindungen - Teil 2: Konstruktion - Maschinenbauliche Anwendungen

Overview

This standard applies to bolted joints with screws and nuts made of steel according to DIN EN ISO 8981 and DIN EN ISO 8982 in the field of rail vehicle. With material-related restrictions, it can also be used for connections with screws and nuts from steel group A2 and A4 according to DIN EN ISO 3506-1 and DIN EN ISO 3506-2. It is intended to support the designer in the basic selection of bolted joints and to familiarize him/her with the necessary systematics and terms and definitions. In principle, the standard does not exempt from experimental and/or numerical (FEM - Finite Element Method, BEM - Boundary Element Method) investigations to verify the results. This applies in particular to critical connections.
