Overview

This document lays down a method for the determination of the hydrochloric acid-insoluble proportion in the ignition residue of all types of pulp, filler-free paper and board. This document was prepared by DIN Standards Committee Paper, board and pulps (NPa). Working Committee NA 074-02-01 AA "Chemisch-technologische Prüfverfahren für Papier, Pappe, Faserstoff und Chemiezellstoff" ("Chemical-technological test methods for paper, board, pulps and chemical pulps") was responsible for this document. The revision of this standard was necessary because several appropriate changes had to be made in the clauses "Sampling and sample preparation", "Equipment and auxiliaries" as well as in "Performance".
