Title (German)

Augenoptik - Einseitig fertige Brillenglasblanks - Teil 1: Anforderungen an Ein- und Mehrstärken-Brillenglasblanks (ISO 10322-1:2016); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 10322-1:2016

Overview

The standard DIN EN ISO 10322 specifies requirements for the optical and geometrical properties of all semifinished single-vision and multifocal spectacle lens blanks. The revised version of Part 1 presented here applies to single- and multifocal lens blanks. Compared to the previous edition of the standard (June 2006), the scope of application has been expanded: It now also includes single-vision lens blanks with aspherical surfaces. The requirements for the tolerance of the surface-cylinder effect have been changed. Furthermore, the description of the measurement methods has been fundamentally revised. The standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 172/SC 7 "Ophthalmic optics and instruments" in collaboration with CEN/TC 170 "Ophthalmic optics" (both secretariats: DIN, Germany). The responsible committee at DIN is Working Committee NA 027-01-08 AA "Augenoptik" ("Ophthalmic optics"), Working Group "Brillengläser" ("Spectacle lenses") at NAFuO.
