Overview

The standard DIN EN 4728 specifies the dimensions and mass, mechanical, electrical and environmental characteristics for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft. They serve to connect cables provisionally installed without electrical connections between the terminals. Standard 4728 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrical, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 131-04-05 AA "Schalter, Relais und Schutzgeräte" ("Switch, relays and protection devices") of the Aerospace Standards Committee (NL) at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V.
