Overview
Part -2-57 of DIN EN 60068 sets out a generally valid test procedure with which the resistance of test specimens to transient vibrations with a specified degree of severity can be determined by applying a time curve. Instructions for specifying the test requirements for concrete specifications as well as a summary of the influences for determining the procedures are also included. In comparison to the previous edition, parts 60068-2-57 and -2-59 were editorially combined, including a standardization of the existing individual tests. The title of the standard was modified to include a sinusoidal pulse method.
