DIN 51938
Testing of carbonaceous materials - Determination of particle size distribution by sieving - Solid matters

Title (German)

Prüfung von Kohlenstoffmaterialien - Bestimmung der Korngrößenverteilung durch Sieben - Feststoffe

Overview

This standard specifies a method for determining the particle size distribution of solid carbon materials (for example, coke, anthracites, graphite materials) in the range from 0.063 mm to 30 mm. This test method can also be used to determine the particle size distribution of mixtures containing binders, provided that these do not form agglomerates during the sieving process and do not stick to the test sieves. Knowledge of the particle size distribution is used to evaluate granular materials with regard to their further use.
