This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 149-00-02 AA "Fotografische Geräte" ("Photographic equipment") of the Entertainment Technology, Photography and Cinematography Standards Committee (NVBF) at DIN. This document defines the inscription and preferred values for the aperture and distance scales for photographic lenses and cameras. This document is part of the DIN 4522 series of standards "Photographic lenses", which consists of the following parts: - Part 3: "Exposure stop (e-stop)"; - Part 4: "Method for measuring the spectral transmittance"; - Part 5: "Their influence on colour rendition of colour films; terms, values for colour contribution index"; - Part 6: "Their influence on colour rendition of colour films; recommended values for colour contribution index"; - Part 7: "Characterization of the quality of photographic lenses" and - Part 11: "Inscription and preferred values".
