Versorgung mit Betriebsstoffen und Entsorgung von flüssigem Abfall von Seeschiffen - Teil 3: Geometrie der Bunkerstation; Text Deutsch und Englisch
Overview
The standard DIN 86210-3 describes arrangements and requirements for pipelines and nozzles on the deck of seagoing vessels as well as the arrangement of samplers for bunkering and retrieval of fuels and lubricants, liquids or substances according to MARPOL. An example of a deck plan with minimum distances to the transfer station was shown in figures. Another figure shows a model representation of the possible sampling points for sampling. Requirements and arrangements of the samplers are shown in an example. The requirements for the design and function of the sampling nozzle and the associated probe were also documented. For sampling from pipelines, DIN EN ISO 3170 "Petroleum liquids - Manual sampling" and DIN EN ISO 3171 "Petroleum liquids - Automatic pipeline sampling" shall be taken into consideration or applied. Electrostatic safety precautions make it advisable to ground equipment and devices. A fundamental condition of sampling is that the properties of the entire quantity of fuel are recorded; that is, sampling is carried out over the entire transfer period, namely from the start of the bunker to the end of the bunker with a volume flow as constant as possible. The requirement is understood as "continuous drip". Manipulations are absolutely to be excluded. With the description of the process of positioning and coupling, both with the hose arm and with the hose crane, variants were described which enable optimal bunkering and retrieval between the receiving ship and the supply ship. Basic requirement criteria for the receiver ship are, for example, that the filling line and also the tank valves can be throttled so that there is always an overpressure at the beginning of the transfer and that the supply personnel has at least one safe access to the receiving ship. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 132-02-07 AA "Betankungs- und Pipelineschläuche" ("Tubes for refuelling and pipelines").
