Overview

This standard applies for installations in single households and multi-family households and expands EN 50494. In detail the following is specified: the system physical structure; the system control signals which implement a set of messages on the bit transfer layer of the DiSEqC message structure, but does not define it; specification of identified configurations; the management of potential collisions during the exchange of the control signals. With respect to the previous edition the standard has been editorially revised, Clause 3 "Terms and definitions" has been supplemented and the content has been technically updated. The responsible committee is DKE/K 735 "Kabelnetze und Antennen für Fernsehsignale, Tonsignale und interaktive Dienste" ("Cable networks for television signals, sound signals and interactive services") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
