Conveyor belts with textile plies for coalmining - Part 4: Rubber-belts with two plies for above ground applications - Dimensions, requirements
Textil-Fördergurte für den Steinkohlenbergbau - Teil 4: Gummi-Fördergurte mit zwei Einlagen für über Tage - Maße, Anforderungen
Overview
Conveyor belts are used in mining applications for the continuous transport of large amounts of loose bulk materials, sometimes over long distances. Due to the mainly automatic and unmanned operation, the critical conditions of use and the often inhomogeneous nature of the conveyed material, the conveyor belt is subject to high requirements. The standard applies to rubber-belts with two textile plies used in above ground hard coal mining applications. It specifies the dimensions of and requirements for these conveyor belts. Conveyor belts complying with this standard may be used in hazardous areas and conveyor bridges provided specific flammability, mining hygiene and electrical properties have been verified in a risk assessment. The standard has been prepared by NA 008-05-03 AA "Fördergurte" ("Conveyor belts") of the Standards Committee Mining (FABERG).
