Overview
The standard series DIN EN 6059 describes test methods for protection sleeves intended to be installed in electrical cables in aircraft. Part 308 specifies a method for assessing the behaviour of conductive protection sleeves or conduits after exposure to a rapid change of temperature. It shall be applied in conjunction with EN 6059-100. The standards of the EN 6059 series are prepared by Section Electrical of ASD-STAN under collaboration of German experts of the Standards Committee Aerospace. The Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible for the preparation of European Standards (EN) in the aerospace field by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-08 AA "Installationskomponenten" ("Harness components") of the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
