Overview

This International Standard applies to electric coffee makers for household and similar use. It does not apply to appliances designed exclusively for commercial or industrial use. The purpose of this standard is to state and to define the main performance characteristics for electric coffee makers, which are of interest to the user and to describe the standard test methods for determining these characteristics. This standard addresses neither safety nor performance requirements. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 513.10 "Kleingeräte" ("Small appliances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
