Application of prefabricated reinforced components of autoclaved aerated concrete - Part 103: Safety concept
Anwendung von vorgefertigten bewehrten Bauteilen aus dampfgehärtetem Porenbeton - Teil 103: Sicherheitskonzept
Overview
This standard specifies the principles and requirements for the load bearing capacity and serviceability limit state of prefabricated reinforced components of autoclaved aerated concrete and structures which are partly or fully assembled with these components. This standard is based on the safety concept specified in DIN EN 1990/NA. Design-specific specifications are made in the following clauses. Information on the impacts are given in the standards of the series DIN EN 1991/NA. This standard applies for the structural design of usual structural buildings and refers to all design situations except fire, in which the structure shall fulfill the load bearing capacity and serviceability requirements. It may also be used for structure design during construction and for structures with limited service life as well as the planning of reinforcement, maintenance or reconstruction measures if there are suitable supplementary rules which are in compliance with the safety concept of this standard. This standard does not cover the structural design of structures for which specific safety requirements shall be applied (for example, nuclear power plants). The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN 4223-5:2003-12: a) standard revised by taking into account DIN EN 12602:2013-10; b) title changed. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-07-09 AA "Porenbeton und haufwerksporiger Leichtbeton" ("Autoclaved aerated concrete and light-weight aggregate concrete with open structure") at the DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
