Overview

DIN 65165-1 describes aircraft cockpit utility lights with adjustable light intensity and colour change. Utility lights in accordance with this standard are preferably used in the cockpit of aircraft. They are suitable for ambient temperatures from -40 °C up to 70 °C and flight heights up to 25 000 m. This document differs from DIN 65165-1:1985-12 as follows: The scope has been modified. This document does not apply to new design. In comparison with the previous document, no technical modifications have been made. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 131-04-06 AA "Lampen und Leuchten" ("Lamps") of the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
