Electromagnetic influence of electric power supply on telecommunication systems - Part 5: Influence by high voltage direct current transmission systems (HVDC transmission systems)
Maßnahmen bei Beeinflussung von Telekommunikationsanlagen durch Starkstromanlagen - Teil 5: Beeinflussung durch Hochspannungs-Gleichstrom-Übertragungsanlagen (HGÜ-Anlagen)
Overview
This standard contains specifications concerning the protection of telecommunications systems and installations against influences caused by common mode (longitudinal) and differential mode (transverse) voltages and/or currents induced by extra-high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems via inductive, capacitive or conductive coupling. This is based on the normal operating conditions of the HVDC systems. The specifications are intended to serve protection of both persons and objects. For this purpose, the limit values are specified, the test method is described and preventive measures to avoid influencing of both the HVDC system and the telecommunications system. The standard primarily makes reference to the relevant specifications of DIN VDE 0845-6-1 (VDE 0845-6-1) in which the principles, the corresponding measurement and calculation methods and the limit values are described or specified, respectively, and it supplements the necessary specific requirements for HVDC systems. The standard replaces DIN VDE 0228-5 (VDE 0228-5):1987-12. In accordance with the decision by DKE committee UK 767.6 to restructure the standards under its responsibility, the number of standard series DIN VDE 0228 (VDE 0228) has been changed to DIN VDE 0845 (VDE 0845). The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.6 "Schutz von Einrichtungen der Informationstechnik gegen Überspannungen und niederfrequente Felder" ("Protection of equipment for information technology against overvoltage and low-frequency fields") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
