Overview

This standard applies for the formation of exterior wall joints and their sealing with joint sealants in accordance with DIN EN 15651-1 with a permissible total deformation (PTD) of 25 % and low modulus of elasticity. This standard specifies additional requirements for joint sealants which are not covered by DIN EN 15651-1. This standard applies for exterior wall joints between components made of in-situ concrete and/or precast concrete parts with closed structure as well as unrendered brickwork and/or natural stone. This standard does not apply for joints between components made from cellular concrete, joints that come into contact with soil and not for structural joints. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-02-16 AA "Fugendichtstoffe (SpA zu ISO/TC 59/SC 8 und CEN/TC 349)" ("Sealants for joints in building construction (Mirror Committee of ISO/TC 59/SC 8)") at DIN.
