DIN EN 12186
Gas infrastructure - Gas pressure regulating stations for transmission and distribution - Functional requirements; German version EN 12186:2014
Gasinfrastruktur - Gas-Druckregelanlagen für Transport und Verteilung - Funktionale Anforderungen; Deutsche Fassung EN 12186:2014
Overview
This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 234 "Gas infrastructure", the secretariat of which is held by DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V. (Germany). The responsible German committee at DIN is Working Committee Working Committee "Anlagentechnik" ("Gas Systems Engineering") at the Standards Committee Gas Technology (NAGas). This standard contains the functional requirements for gas pressure regulating stations in gas transmission or distribution systems, including their safety devices. It is applicable to the design, construction, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance and documentation as well as to the selection of materials and components. This standard refers to other standards prepared at CEN/TC 234, in particular EN 12007-1 regarding pipelines for maximum operating pressure up to and including 16 bar, - EN 1594 regarding pipelines for maximum operating pressure over 16 bar and EN 12327 regarding pressure testing, commissioning and decommissioning procedures. Gas pressure regulating stations in service lines are excluded if the upstream operating pressure does not exceed 16 bar and the design flow rate is equal to or less than 200 m3/h (under normal conditions). In this case DIN EN 12279 applies. More detailed technical rules within the meaning of the scope of this standard are the DVGW-Arbeitsblätter G 491, G 493-1/2, G 495, G 498 and G 499 and the DVGW-Merkblätter G 440, G 442 and G 494. This standard is in included in the DVGW-Regelwerk "Gas" (DVGW regulations "Gas").
