Specific requirements for the competence of testing laboratories for noise and vibration in the field of immission control

Title (German)

Besondere Anforderungen an die Kompetenz von Prüflaboratorien für Geräusche und Erschütterungen im Bereich des Immissionsschutzes

Overview

This standard specifies specific requirements for testing bodies for noise and/or vibration within the scope of the "Bundes-Immissionsschutzgesetz" (BImSchG, German Federal Immission Control Act) which refer to plants, construction sites, road and rail traffic and inland navigation, the latter only regarding noise. This standard concretises in Clause 4 the general requirements for testing bodies specified in DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and in Clause 5 the mandatory regulations for immission control in the noise and vibration section. This standard is addressed to bodies which are responsible for accreditations and notifications in the field of noise and vibration, and to testing bodies which face accreditation and notification in these fields. This standard has been prepared by special committee "Akkreditierung" ("Accreditation") of the Steering Committee of the Acoustics, Noise Control and Vibration Engineering Standards Committee (NALS) at DIN and VDI.
