DIN EN 4651
Aerospace series - Copper-clad aluminium alloy conductors for electrical cables - Product standard; German and English version EN 4651:2014

Title (German)

Luft- und Raumfahrt - Leiter aus Aluminiumlegierung mit Kupferbeschichtung für elektrische Leitungen - Produktnorm; Deutsche und Englische Fassung EN 4651:2014

Overview

The standard EN 4651 describes requirements for copper-clad aluminium alloy conductors for electrical cables for aerospace applications. This European Standard specifies the dimensions, linear resistance, mechanical characteristics, construction and mass of copper-clad aluminium alloy (CCA) conductors, for lightweight electrical cables for aerospace applications. It applies to stranded conductors, with a nominal cross-sectional area of 0,22 mm2 to 22 mm2 inclusive. The standard DIN EN 4651 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") at the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace.
