DIN EN 4057-402
Aerospace series - Cable ties for harnesses - Test methods - Part 402: Life cycle; German and English version EN 4057-402:2014
Luft- und Raumfahrt - Befestigungsbänder für Leitungsbündel - Prüfverfahren - Teil 402: Gebrauchszyklus; Deutsche und Englische Fassung EN 4057-402:2014
Overview
The standard series DIN EN 4057 describes test methods for cable ties for harnesses used for aerospace applications. The new edition of Part 402 specifies the procedure to determine the life cycle of cable ties for harnesses under random vibration conditions for aerospace applications. This standard shall be used together with EN 4057-100. The following modifications have been made with respect to the previous edition DIN EN 4057-402:2008-02: a) clause 4 has been subdivided in 4.1 Vibration test, 4.2 Temperature cycling and 4.3 Final inspection; b) for temperature cycling, a minimum rated temperature (previously -65 °C) has been defined; c) Table 1 has been revised and expanded by minimum lengths of the harness and cable sizes, the codes for the cable ties have been deleted. The standards of the EN 4057 standard series have been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-08 AA "Installationskomponenten" ("Installation components") at the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace.
