This document has been prepared by Joint Working Committee NA 062-03-32 GA "Bitumen; Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen für die Bindemittel" ("Bitumen; test methods and specifications of binders") at the Standards Committees Materials Testing (NMP) and Building and Civil Engineering (NABau) at DIN. The method according to this standard is intended to determine the mass content of non-volatile components of bituminous coating materials. The residue obtained during testing is simultaneously intended to determine the softening point of the non-volatile matter content of bituminous coating materials using the Ring and Ball method according to DIN EN 1427.
