Aircraft batteries - Part 3: Product specification and declaration of design and performance (DDP) (IEC 60952-3:2013); German version EN 60952-3:2013
Flugzeugbatterien - Teil 3: Produktspezifikation und Erklärung zu Entwurf und Leistung (DDP) (IEC 60952-3:2013); Deutsche Fassung EN 60952-3:2013
Overview
This standard is part of a standard series that defines minimum environmental and performance requirements for establishing a qualification standard for airworthiness of lead-acid and nickel-cadmium aircraft batteries, which contain corrosive electrolytes. This standard series defines test procedures for determining battery performance. The electrical test results can be used to establish airworthiness in a particular application. For all tests, the manufacturer declares the minimum performance for each battery type. This Part 3 defines requirements for the product specification as well as procedures for a Declaration of Design and Performance (DDP) for nickel-cadmium and lead-acid aircraft batteries containing vented or valve-regulated cells or monoblocs. The responsible committee is DKE/K 371 "Akkumulatoren" ("Secondary cells and batteries") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
