Verfahren zur Bestimmung von bestimmten Substanzen in Produkten der Elektrotechnik - Teil 1: Einleitung und Übersicht (IEC 62321-1:2013); Deutsche Fassung EN 62321-1:2013
Overview
The International IEC 62321 standard series provides test methods that will allow the electrotechnical industry to determine the levels of certain substances of concern in electrotechnical products on a consistent global basis. DIN EN 62321-1 defines the basic terms and provides an overview of the abbreviations which are common in connection with the analytical test methods. It specifically provides general statements regarding the quality and procurement of a sample, which can be either a polymer, a metal or electronics, and represents the test methods by means a common flow chart. Furthermore, it contains statements regarding the limits of detection and quantification as well as the obligatory content of a test report. This first edition of DIN EN 62321-1 is a partial replacement of DIN EN 62321:2009, forming a structural revision of Clauses 1 to 4. The other parts of DIN EN 62321:2009 will be replaced by other parts of the standard series and remain valid until they are re-published. The responsible committee is DKE/K 191 "Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit bei Produkten in der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik, Informationstechnik" ("Environmental protection and sustainability for products in electrotechnics, electronics, information technology") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
