Calculation of the decay power in nuclear fuels of light water reactors - Part 1: Uranium oxide nuclear fuel for pressurized water reactors

Title (German)

Berechnung der Zerfallsleistung der Kernbrennstoffe von Leichtwasserreaktoren - Teil 1: Uranoxid-Kernbrennstoff für Druckwasserreaktoren

Overview

The decay power of nuclear fuels is the heat load generated after shutdown of a nuclear reactor by radioactive decay of the fission and activation products of the nuclear fuel. This document provides the basis for calculating the decay power of uranium oxide nuclear fuel for pressurized water reactors. The committee responsible for this document is NA 062-07-44 AA "Zerfallsleistung" ("Decay power") at DIN.
