Overview

This standard applies to the handling of fissile materials in nuclear facilities. The reactor core shall be excluded. Special requirements arising with regard to transportation of fissile materials outside nuclear facilities and protection against interference by third parties are not covered by this standard. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-07-45 AA "Kritikalitätssicherheit" ("Criticality safety") at Technical Section "Kerntechnik" ("Nuclear Technology") of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN.
