DIN EN ISO 10462
Gas cylinders - Acetylene cylinders - Periodic inspection and maintenance (ISO 10462:2013); German version EN ISO 10462:2013

Title (German)

Gasflaschen - Acetylenflaschen - Wiederkehrende Inspektion und Wartung (ISO 10462:2013); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 10462:2013

Overview

DIN EN 10462 specifies the requirements for the periodic inspection of acetylene cylinders with or without solvent. Acetylene cylinders differ from all other cylinders transporting compressed or liquefied gases in that they contain a porous material and, normally, a solvent in which the acetylene is dissolved. Acetylene cylinders that contain a porous material but no solvent are only used for special applications. The standard covers all types of acetylene cylinders. It replaces the existing standard DIN EN 12863 (edition 2006-02), whereby the main contents of the previous standard have been incorporated. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 016-00-03 AA "Druckgasflaschen und Ausrüstung; Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 23 und ISO/TC 58" ("Transportable gas cylinders and equipment; national mirror committee to CEN/TC 23 and ISO/TC 58") at DIN.
