This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-61 AA "Prüfung von Schmierölen, sonstigen Ölen und Paraffinen" ("Testing of lubricating oils, other oils and Paraffin") at Technical Committee "Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM)" ("Standardization of mineral oils and combustible materials") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing. This document specifies a test method simulating the phenomena described in the introduction and analyzing engine lubricating oils in regard to their tendency to form deposits in the inlet-airflow of supercharged diesel engines at higher temperatures.
