DIN EN 336
Structural timber - Sizes, permitted deviations; German version EN 336:2013

Title (German)

Bauholz für tragende Zwecke - Maße, zulässige Abweichungen; Deutsche Fassung EN 336:2013

Overview

This standard specifies two classes of permitted deviations from target sizes for structural timber of softwood and hardwood species. The standard also specifies the moisture content to be used as a reference point for the measurement of sizes, and gives average values for changes in size due to changes in moisture content. It is applicable to sawn and prepared square-edged structural timber with parallel edges having sawn thicknesses or widths greater than 6 mm. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-04-01 AA "Holzbau (SpA zu CEN/TC 124, CEN/TC 250/SC 5, ISO/TC 165)" ("Timber structures (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 250/SC 5, ISO/TC 165")) at DIN.
