DIN EN 62628
Guidance on software aspects of dependability (IEC 62628:2012); German version EN 62628:2012

Title (German)

Leitlinien zu Softwareaspekten der Zuverlässigkeit (IEC 62628:2012); Deutsche Fassung EN 62628:2012

Overview

DIN EN 62628 addresses the issues concerning software aspects of dependability. The standard gives guidance on achievement of dependability in software performance influenced by management disciplines, design processes and application environments. It establishes a generic framework for software requirements with respect to dependability. For this purpose, a software dependability process for system life cycle applications is provided. Assurance criteria and methodology for software design and implementation are presented in view of dependability and practical approaches for performance evaluation and measurement of dependability characteristics in software systems are given. This standard is suitable for software system developers and suppliers, system integrators, operators and maintenance personnel, and users of software systems who are concerned with practical approaches and application engineering to achieve dependability of software products and systems. The responsible committee is DKE/K 132 "Zuverlässigkeit" ("Dependability") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
