Overview

This standard specifies the designation of bolts, screws, studs and nuts. It also specifies the designations of the types and designs of fasteners that go beyond the basic types specified in the relevant DIN product standards. With respect to the previous standard in Table 2, all types and symbols originating from DIN EN ISO 4753 have been replaced by an example and a reference to DIN EN ISO 4753 and the types Tm (with washer face) and To (without washer face) have been included. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-01 AA "Referenznormen und Qualitätsmanagement" ("Reference standards and quality management") at the Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV).
