Overview

The standard contains the necessary symbols, abbreviations and terms and definitions to be used for representation of sedimentary rocks and their inclusions on largescale plans, maps and site maps. The symbols indicated do not claim to be comprehensive. If necessary, other symbols in accordance with this standard may be developed. The symbols specified in the standard are essentially consistent with the symbols according to ISO 710-2 "Graphical symbols for use on detailed maps, plans and geological cross sections - Part 2: Representation of sedimentary rocks". The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-11-01-03 AK "Geologische Zeichen und Begriffe" ("Geologic symbols and terms") at Working Committee "Markscheidewesen" ("Mine surveying") of FABERG.
