Overview

Marker buoys for the stern-bow method in accordance with VG 85488 are used for the purpose of safe replenishment at sea. This VG standard describes, amongst others, the production documents in accordance with the set of drawings from the Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung (BWB) (German Federal Office for Defence Technology and Procurement), materials, tests, marking colours and the Technical Specifications. The VG standard has been prepared in NA 132-01-05 AA "Heben, Schleppen, Ankern" ("Heaving, towing, anchoring").
