DIN 1052-10
Design of timber structures - Part 10: Additional provisions
Herstellung und Ausführung von Holzbauwerken - Teil 10: Ergänzende Bestimmungen
Overview
With the implementation and application of DIN EN 1995-1-1 and the associated National Annex DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA, DIN 1052 was withdrawn from the German body of standards in December 2010. DIN EN 1995-1-1 and the associated National Annex contain regulations on the design, construction and execution of load bearing timber constructions. Furthermore, reference is made to the material properties to be applied and other design rules via a reference to numerous reference standards. The scope of DIN 1052 is only partly covered by the aforementioned standards, however. This document therefore supplements DIN EN 1995-1-1 and the associated National Annex as well as the reference standards to these two standards regarding manufacture and design requirements. Construction products complying with a harmonized European Standard or European Technical Approval are not part of this standard. This document contains national specifications on material properties as well as design and monitoring of adhesive bonds for timber structures which shall be considered for the application of DIN EN 1995-1-1 in Germany. This document applies only in conjunction with DIN EN 1995-1-1:2010-12 and DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA:2010-12. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN 1052:2008-12 which was withdrawn in 2010-12 and DIN 1052 Corrigendum 1:2010-05 which was withdrawn in 2010-12: a) from the withdrawn standards DIN 1052:2008-12 and DIN 1052 Corrigendum 1:2010-05, the regulations not contained in DIN EN 1995-1-1 in conjunction with DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA have been adopted and aligned; b) the requirements for products and connections not regulated in the European product standards have been incorporated.
