This European Standard defines various terms relating to the design, construction, primary packaging and testing of theatrical pyrotechnic articles and specifies their generic types. This document (EN 16256-1) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 212 "Pyrotechnic articles", the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). The responsible German committee is NA 062-08-81 AA "Pyrotechnische Gegenstände" ("Pyrotechnic articles") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP).
