Steckverbinder für elektronische Einrichtungen - Produktanforderungen - Teil 2-106: Rundsteckverbinder - Bauartspezifikation für Steckverbinder M16 × 0,75 mit Schraubverriegelung und Schutzart IP40 oder IP65/67 (IEC 61076-2-106:2011); Deutsche Fassung EN 61076-2-106:2011

Overview

This standard describes circular connectors M16 with IP40 or IP65/67 protection degree, typically used for industrial process measurement and control. These connectors consist of fixed and free connectors, either rewireable or non-rewireable, with M16×0,75 screw-locking. Male connectors have round contacts ∅ 1,5 mm or ∅ 1,0 mm. The 3. edition of IEC 60130-9 specifies connectors with a similar mating interface for radio and associated sound equipment. Some of the IEC 60130-9 connector styles can be mated to some connector styles of this standard. However, edition 4 of IEC 60130-9:2011 no longer includes these styles. The responsible committee is K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connector") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
